Research
Transinsight collaborates closely with the bioinformatics
group of TU Dresden.
The group has a comprehensive research programme funded with over 2.5
Mio. EUR dedicated to ontologies and textmining. It covers the following
topics:
- design and evolution of bio-ontologies,
- textmining to extract protein interactions and ontology terms in
texts,
- grid computing for bioinformatics,
- analysis of high-throughput micro-array and RNAi data,
- biomedical applications in particular cell-cycle and pancreas tumor,
endocytosis and infectious diseases, osteoclast differentiation and
bone diseases as well as membrane proteins.
